To this end, the company signed a contract with the local Lipcol Engineering Company to order 6 production lines of medical rubber gloves with a contract value of 36.15 million ringgit.
Lipcol Engineering Company is responsible for the process design, manufacturing, installation and equipment debugging of the medical rubber glove production line. The first production line will be put into operation in November this year. By April 2021, all six production lines will be put into production, with a total production capacity of 928 million pieces per year. Within three years, the company will build another 20 new production lines to increase the annual production capacity of medical nitrile gloves to 3.2 billion.
In June of this year, ATS acquired the Pearl Glove Company (PGSB), a manufacturer of rubber gloves for work, and entered the rubber glove industry in one fell swoop. The company said that by 2021, the company's rubber glove production capacity will double.
In addition, ATS is actively entering the medical field. In April this year, the company signed a memorandum of cooperation for the production of disinfection rooms with Chinese companies. In May, the company announced that it would cooperate with domestic and foreign companies to produce ventilators.
