A total of 17 countries have participated in the negotiations, namely South Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, India, Russia, Argentina, France, Germany, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and Egypt.


At present, importers from various countries are interested in Thai smoked film, bowl rubber and latex. Importers need approximately 85.312 tons of natural latex per year. Regarding rubber products and latex products, latex pillows and housekeeping latex gloves are the most popular.


Thailand's exports in 2020 will enter the final sprint of the fourth quarter. Rakchai, President of the Thai Rubber Association, said that the orders for rubber raw materials include concentrated latex used to produce latex gloves, standard rubber and smoked sheet rubber used in the production of tires and other products. Since June, they have received orders from foreign countries, especially In China, Malaysia and Vietnam, due to the return of labor from Myanmar and Cambodia, there were not enough laborers in Thailand to harvest rubber, which resulted in a decline in production, which prompted a rise in domestic and foreign rubber prices.


As the global demand for rubber gloves and automobile tires continues to increase, and the Thai government has taken active measures to promote the export of rubber products, Thailand’s rubber product shipments this year are expected to increase by 3.19%. After meeting with the Ministry of International Trade Promotion, the Rubber Authority of Thailand and the Rubber Cooperative Society, Thailand’s Minister of Commerce Zhu Lin said that Thailand’s rubber product shipments are expected to reach 359 billion baht this year, an increase of 3.19% over 2019. By the end of the year, natural rubber exports are expected to fall by 5% to 122 billion baht.
